What is Magendoo?

Magendoo is a software consultancy that builds free, MIT-licensed Magento 2 extensions. All source code is publicly available on GitHub. We sell professional services around the extensions: installation, support, and custom Playwright test suites.

Are the extensions really free?

Yes. Every extension is released under the MIT licence and available on GitHub at no cost. You only pay if you want our team to install or support it for you.

Which Magento versions are supported?

All extensions target Magento 2.4.x (Community Edition). They are also compatible with Mage-OS 1.x. Adobe Commerce (Enterprise) compatibility is available on request.

Licensing

What does the MIT licence mean for me?

You can use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software freely. You must include the original copyright notice. There are no annual fees, no seat limits, and no vendor lock-in.

Can I use the extensions on multiple stores?

Yes. The MIT licence places no restriction on the number of installations or stores.

Can I modify the code?

Absolutely. Fork the GitHub repository, make your changes, and deploy. If your improvements would benefit others, we welcome pull requests.

Installation & Compatibility

How do I install an extension?

Each extension ships with an installation guide in its GitHub README. The standard process is: composer require magendooro/module-name, then bin/magento module:enable, bin/magento setup:upgrade, and a cache flush. If you prefer, our team can handle the full installation for you.

What PHP versions are supported?

PHP 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 — matching the requirements of Magento 2.4.x.

Will the extensions conflict with other modules?

We design extensions to follow Magento best practices (dependency injection, plugins, observers) and avoid core rewrites. Conflicts are rare. If you encounter one, open a GitHub issue and we will investigate.

What does "Professional Installation" include?

Our team installs and configures the extension in your Magento environment, runs a compatibility check, and provides a 30-minute post-install verification call. Delivered within 2 business days of purchase.

What does "Extended Support (1 Year)" include?

12 months of priority email support, bug-fix patches, and compatibility updates for your Magento version. Response within 1 business day.

What is the Playwright Test Suite?

A custom end-to-end test suite covering the extension's key user flows, written in Playwright and delivered as a GitHub repository you own. Useful for CI/CD pipelines and regression testing after upgrades.

Since the extensions are free, what am I actually ordering?

Your order is for the service tier you selected — installation, support, or test suite. The extension licence itself is always free. Your order confirmation will detail exactly what is included.

Billing & Refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). All transactions are secured by Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 infrastructure.

Do you issue VAT invoices?

Yes. Magendoo Interactive SRL (VAT: RO28155293) issues Romanian VAT invoices. EU B2B customers can apply reverse charge by providing their VAT number at checkout.

What is your refund policy?

If a service has not yet been delivered, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Once work has commenced, we will discuss a partial refund based on work completed. See our returns policy for full details.
